Dr. Brendan King is a specialist in impact evaluation with a background in academia. He is deeply committed to evidence-based change and founded the award-winning consultancy Golden Thread Evaluation, which assisted charities, social enterprises and corporates in measuring and maximising their social value and effectiveness. Brendan's expertise lies in evaluating complex social programmes, enabling organisations to understand their impact and improve their strategies.
His research has influenced policy discussions on gender roles and appears in international peer-reviewed journals. His exploration of modern masculinity led him to The Early Years Movement. In addition to his practical work, Brendan is an accomplished author, with his first book examining the intersection of masculinity, gender expectations, and societal change. His writing addresses the evolving nature of fatherhood, caregiving, and the importance of challenging outdated stereotypes from an early age. Brendan continues to advise charities, social enterprises, and policymakers on impact measurement and gender equality, with his work remaining at the forefront of developing a more inclusive and evidence-driven approach to social change.
