We’re building a gender-diverse Early Years workforce, and sparking national conversation about gender equity, gender issues in education, men in education and whose role it is to care.
Gender becomes personal from the age of three. That’s when children begin deciding what’s for boys and what’s for girls. We are interrupting that pattern early, and with purpose.
The Early Years Movement is challenging outdated assumptions about who teaches, who nurtures, and who leads in Early Years education. We aim to increase gender equity, report on gender issues in education and increase the numbers of men in education in the EYFS phase and wider ECEC sector. Our work has been featured by national media, education networks, and sector leaders.
We’re available for press, interviews, and insights on inclusive workforce development, recruitment, education equity, and men in care.
Our work touches on some of the most pressing social issues of our time: gender equity; education inequality; workforce shortages; and the long-term impact of early childhood experiences. We must raise the profile of gender issues in education to break down barriers. We must increase the number of men in education at the EYFS stage.
Let’s rewrite the story of who cares, and who gets seen caring.
